Luxury hotel and former prison Het Arresthuis is located in the historic centre of Roermond, in Holland’s little visited ‘Maasplassen’ lake district area.

Het Arresthuis offers surprisingly sumptuous rooms, with everything from a Comfort cell (one Comfort cell has been created out of three former cells) to the warden’s and judge’s suite. The area is a cyclist/walker’s paradise, and is criminally overlooked by UK travellers.
