At last, there is a hint of Spring in the air, the mornings are brighter, the evenings are getting longer so it’s a great time to start thinking about trips away this spring and summer!  If you’re an enthusiastic motorcyclist then there are plenty of great events across Europe which might interest you.  Travel on our ferry from Harwich to the Hook of Holland and experience some of the most exciting motor events in 2017!  We have launched our yearly motorcycle offer so why not take advantage and travel to the races in Holland and Germany this summer?

Moto GP in Assen, Holland from June 23rd until 25th

To kick off events this year, the MotoGP tour hits Holland from 23rd until 25th June at the TT Circuit Assen.  This track was purpose built in 1955 for the Dutch TT Races.  The organisers  wanted to take the race off public roads and into the track to help push the limits of the races.

Next stop is Germany for the MotoGP race at the Sachsenring Circuit from 30th June until 2nd July.  Normally the circuit is used for driver training and for transport safety tests but once a year the MotoGP teams unleash their fury on the track.  The track has change alot since the first race was held in 1998 with a major refurbishment and reconfiguration in 2001.

British Superbike Championships in Germany 2017

This year’s Superbikes World Championships will be held from 18th – 20th September at the Lauritzring circuit in Germany and is definitely not to be missed.  The Lausitzring circuit or Eurospeedway Lauritz, as it is popularly known by motorcycle enthusiasts, is located approximately 60km from Dresden and 110 km from Berlin. It’s an extensive racing complex built on the site of a former coal mine and it’s  the home of continental Europe’s only oval superspeedway!  For spectators, the races at Eurospeedway Lauritz epitomises true motorcycle racing.

British Superbikes at Assen in Holland

The MCE British Superbikes will be held at the TT Assen Circuit from 29th September until 1st October. The TT Assen Circuit is also known as “The Cathedral” and it is shrouded in motorcycle racing history.  It has been an iconic and inspirational track for motorcycling fans across Europe. The track has very sharp cornering, with rapid changes in direction and is surrounded by grass banks and grandstands. This provides a sensational viewing platform for the thousands of motorcycle race enthusiasts who visit on this very special race day.
