I was Officers Steward on board the TSS Arnhem (1951-1954) so I know the ‘Hook quite well. Have travelled on both the Hollandica & Britannica…..EXCELLENT. A LOT different to the above Arnhem (which was akin to the Amsterdam; which was the ‘Sister’ Ship to on Queens Royal Yacht / Brittania). The whole ‘system’ is far superior & unbelievably better.
British Rail ran the Night Ferries / Arnhem; Amsterdam & Duke of York (which had a collision and had a new Bow fitted /one Lady lost her life!). The Day Ferries were run by the Dutch / Emma & Beatrix.
